SO yesterday I cleaned apartment, started diy xmas cards, did a littltle xmas decorating--but no tree do to fear kitty will attack while I at work, watched Doctor Who:The Next Doctor--LOVED it!!!, read two more Sandman, and just had a good day off.

Today I go back to work...it's just not
a as fun.

Looking forward to turkey day. Really little much else of note--if this is even of note.

Happy Holidaze 2009

  • Nov. 23rd, 2009 at 9:59 AM

So yesterday mom and I planned our Turkey Day menu.
1.Turkey
2.Yellow squash with butter, parmessan, and herbs
3.Green Bean casserole
4.biscuits
5.Mashed potatoes
6.Rolls
7.Cranberry Sauce
8.White wine--don't know if this is aprapo for fowl but we like white wine more then red.(All though as I told Julie...I prolly should prefer red since I SO neo-goth.)
9.Corn Bread dressing
and
10.Pumpkin Pie

Then we baked chocolate chip cookies.

I also bought FINALLY last years 2008 Doctor Who xmas film. Which will be my reward for cleaning apartment today--I will watch after I do this.

I also hope to work on the diy xmas cards and keep hijacking library xmas music for my xmas mixtapes.

Sandman

  • Nov. 21st, 2009 at 9:30 AM

Since Weds. I have been working my way through every Sandman TPB. I am almost done with the wake.
For me it is still the series as beautifal as the first reading(s). However I must be paying attention more then in hellschool/college because I have caught a lot of stuff I missed first time around. Which rocks.
Of course now getting all SANDMAN tpbs for myself seems to have raised in priority in my All Tomorrow's somedays...how long will this last in my A.D.D. world????
Also now I want to read all of Carey's Lucifer tpbs--sort of a Sandamn spinoff. BUT Library does not own. Will i start Am.coming these before the a.d.d. kicks in we shall see.
Really thats about it.
Pretty stoked about holidays.
But Novemeber and December and a lil of january is a rollercoaster of feelings for me so we shall see how this goes.

So I see my folks a lot--almost every week. So Going over on holidays is sort of anticlimactic. SO Mom and I have been attempting to figure out how to give the upcoming one a lil more it's a holidaze feel. Thanksgiving is still just us cooking so far which is cool but we do that a lot. BUT Hexmas we are making cookies after the exchanging of the gifts. That should make it a little more festivus.

Welcome to the chalice of the broken hearts
The candlemass of broken dreams
The sacrament and tears and screams
the Darkness Gospel you all ignore
Because you'd rather forget others
And grab for more
Your greedy love
Of
Be who we want you to be
Not who you are
You who cause suicides and every scar
The universal liars
Of hope and love you never give
The first to fail
Yet the last to forgive
The truths of hiiden lies
And the mask you wear of evil eyes
You in charge of misery
You who don't want to see
Anybody
Who is not of your norm
Of lies and masks
All the don't tells
All the don't asks."

just two poems

  • Nov. 16th, 2009 at 9:47 AM

"All my useless hellos
And unheard goodbyes
The Sadness I keep hidden
Because I am afraid to say I am sad
Lest they think I'll consider the knife again
So I plaster the smile upon my face
And hide how I feel behind these eyes
And only those who can do nothing
Notice how much I want to cry
How bad I want a real hug
But I say nothing
And my arms stay empty
And on and on I pretend to smile evermore..."

"Bitter lil angry candy
Hard as tooth and nails
An outcast
or is it a castoff?
Whatever.
Definitely just something society uses
Not something they want."

Wonder where he learned this but it makes me all happily laughy!

port of call

  • Nov. 12th, 2009 at 9:56 AM

SO I feel and have always felt...everyone leaves eventually. And I feel two ships may be preparing to sail.

However as Mr. King said "Sometimes they come back"--luckily in happier ways then he describes.
And in the past year a lot have returned.
In fact one has returned majorly. She puts up with tons of texts and such.
(I fear she is lonely as I).
But still it is ironic that in some ways my Closest friend leaves in another state.  And I hope she does not feel she is a crutch she is totally a blessing.

O.K. enough of that in other news I have been watching every CIS this week becuase they all tie together. And Yeah I still only like CIS (the original). However this always leads to do I watch Supernatural or CIS. (sorry folks I po' no tivo, dvr, or vcr) And Since I am so far behind and confused by Supernatural I often choos IF any tv CIS.

So yeah that is that.

Not much else. Hope to start work on my DIY Christmas cards next check.

And still this world turns.

And less waves of despair yesterday so YAY!!!

Great now I want to watch SHE'S HAVING A BABY again....

just a few little things

  • Nov. 11th, 2009 at 9:45 AM

So December and November are my worst months for melancholy and depression because there was so much a mix of good and bad those months in 2006. But so much of it is over that even the happy memories are bittersweet.

Luckily I have Wicked in Febuary.  A possible visit with Jules and family in Decemeber and mail to get me through. Yay Gifts!!!

Finished UNSEEN ACADEMICALS by Terry Pratchett. Well done as always.  I especially liked the subplot of Mr. Nutt. Yet again Terry used a fantasy creature to explore what it means to fit in  and accept ones self in the world.

And he does that with the Glenda subplot to. But since Glenda and Nutts story are somewhat intertwined Was not sure I needed to mention.

Now I am reading PETER & MAX, the Fables novel only a few chapters in but I am loving it.

I voted today...

  • Nov. 3rd, 2009 at 9:23 AM

Was kind of sad I went in and it took 10 minutes at most. last year i had to wait in line about 45 minutes.  Now I do not like waiting BUT waiting to vote means a lot of people are voting so i can deal with that wait.  Sad that people only seem to take presidential elections seriously.

Joined www.deviantart.com yesterday. i did the free membership thingy. But now I can favorite art I like and if I find someone who can help with a scanner or maybe a didgi camera i can post my crap I mean original art also.

Just found out about Jeffree Star via AP's latest issue. Wow, no seriously WOW!!!

And speaking of AP I subscribed...12 issues for 15 dollars was too good a deal.

And finally I am waiting to see if my friend matt actually got a chance to mail me something--he did not say what--before he returned to the Land of the Rising Sun. if he was unable it is cool too. I just hope if he did it arrives soon so i know that he did.

Finally since I all ready bore people with what i read each month should I also do a list of the dvds I watch???

Input on this if you wish.

oh and I ma now paying 5 yen a month to get interweb on my cellphone BUT not planning on using too much cause it WAY drains the battery.

And I Highly happy I am going to see Wicked Feb. 21st.

And tonight I am seeing friends I have not seen in a year and we are watching Ghostbusters and Trick R Treat.
