So I got a plethora of snow for my birthday...some say 10 inches. So My Friday plans are happening today. Mom and I hitting half Price Books and Meijers with Gift Cards. And Melodees for supper with dad and I have to goto Ups to get my Pink Everlast t-shirt.
But I did goto to DAI with Jason yetserday and the Hastee Tastee for lunch. AND I met his girlfriend which was cool.
And now it is less then 2 weeks til Wicked--o.k. by one day BUT still.

Heres a poem...
I think I am just trying to annoy my future self.
Dropping cuckoo's eggs for children of lost gods
Hiding in the Shadow of my self
Alone again on the shore
Alone again forevermore
Closed behind an attic door
Hiding deep inside my mind
Smile
Pretend I'm fine
The same old misery
Make believe victory
The masks I wear
Are mostly what I dare to share
And still it ends the same
It's almost funny
Truth or Masks,
They all leave eventually
The scars are all that remain
"Friendshipsailin" By Chris Lett 1-31-2010

"Each one of us is a book reviewed by critics who only read the chapter headings and jacket flap. We're all a mystery. We should respect each other on that basis." -Garrison Keillor

I left work four hours early since I worked 4 extra hours on monday. Would've stayed for o.t. BUT we are in the winter slow period and almost all our volunteers showed up today and not enough work for all. And O.t. lost too mind numbing clock crawling boredem.
I do work 8-4 on my birthday so can got to Melodees and Half Price books with my folks that eve. :)
And If I can get to Comic con at WSU this year I will. Depends on if off and my cash flow.

I barely slept last night. And I doubt any of it was REM.
But yesterday was agood day off.
Mom dad and myself went to a little homecooking restraunt in New Carlisle called Melodees. I really enjoyed--I had the Broasted Chicken. But anyhoo I enjoyed so much we are now going there for my birthday then half price books.:)
Wound up working 8-12 at work today. SO there goes my other day off this week. Well part of it. As soon as I done here at Library I am heading home to do housework and hopefully chill a bit.
Oh well little else is new.
Hope I sleep better tonight.

Recentely finished reading SWEET JESUS I HATE BILL O'REILLY...and all though I enjoyed the fact that I could read of Bill's lunacy without hearing or reading him. I also found it a little unfair. After all the authors had working brain cells and they were making fun of a man with none.
I mean really it is kind of like making fun of a retarded child if you are in elemantary school. Kind of fun but you feel bad afterwards--at least I did.
Still if they write another book I will read it.
Also read the collection of the X-Force Cable crossover Messiah War...Thank god Deadpool was in it as chaotic as ever or I might not have ewnjoyed as much as I did.
Now I reading Divine Misdeamenors by Laurell Hamilton and The Monsters and the Critics and other Essays by J.R.R. Tolkien

A story yes...intersting you be the judge.
Basically I am a big fan of the Manga Wallflower. The main male characters are all bishonen--pretty boys.
I'd kind of like to be one if I wasn't 39 and not pretty possibly cute but not pretty.
Hence the name.
30 days til I get to see Wicked at the Shuster center.
16 days til the anniversary of my birth....
16 days til the anniversary of my birth....
Feb. 5th it is. In many ways it shall be like Christmas small but fun...and sort of extended.
I requested to work 8-4 on my birthday so that my folks and I can goto city bbq then half price books.
Sometime that month Suzette, Mel and I are going to the Crutch for drinks.
And if we are both off on Feb. 7th Jason and I are doing Lunch and the Dayton Art Institute. If not the 7th then definitely around my bday/that month.
Hoping to see Aimee and Dave this month also.
And the big plan of Bday this year 2-21-2010 I get to go see WICKED. YAY!!!! I very excited about this.
Speaking of Birthdays two of the coolest wee ones I know have Birthdays coming up. So Stickers and cards will be mailed soon.
And in comic news I did drop JSA all Stars and add Guardians of The Galaxy.
Not much else is new.

YAY found the journey song I wanted to hear on youtube. "Strung Out".
Fought a cold all weekend Think I won.
Decided to drop JSA All Stars from file adding Guardians of The Galaxy instead of buying just via back issues.
Also want the Reign of Kings Tie-in if there is one.
Read all the Jack of Fables Jules let me borrow. Happy cause they were great. Sad because now waiting to borrow more.
True Blood eserve came in--season 1--two episodes in loving it. Especially Tara and Lafeyette.
That is all. Dull week...snowed in and sick a lot....

Guinea Pig
by Julie Cadwallader-Staub
As if your cancer weren't enough,
the guinea pig is dying.
The kids brought him to me
wrapped in a bath towel
船o something, Mom.
Save his life.'
I'm a good mom.
I took time from work,
drove him to the vet,
paid $77.00 for his antibiotics.
Now, after the kids rush off to school,
you and I sit on the bed.
I hold the guinea pig, since he bites.
You fill the syringe.
We administer the foul smelling medicine,
hoping the little fellow will live.
admitting to each other:
if he doesn't,
it'll be good practice.

So Christmas through the 28th was great.
Christmas day was just wonderfully laid back. the smaller amount of gifts made for a wonderfully relaxed day.
Rolled cookies did not come out pretty but they were tasty.
Then Saturday I got to see old friends Mike and Rik at a great brunch where we just reminisced and had fun. Plus I got to show them the Huber Canal lock park.
Sunday Jason and I exchanged gifts. He Deadpooled a Spider-WOman cover for me and it is great.
Then Monday I got to See Julie and Ian and meet Katie and Declan. It was great. It was only three hours but it seemed longer--in a good way. It was a perfect visit. Trees and trains downtown then Food and fun at Spaghetti Warehouse. And finally book reading at books and company. YAY Wonder-Pets!!!
It was all great holiday fun.
And Julie's kids are spectacular I so glad I got to meet and spend time with them.

EVERYTHING makes me anxious!!!!
The day in which we celebrate Mary looking down from the donkey and wondering if they should have made reservations for a motel. After all He has got them lost twice on the road to Bethlehem all ready and it took a ton of nagging to get him to stop in that Speedway and ask for directions.
And there seem to be a lot of camels heading the same way.....

Dad felt unwell last eve and we do not want him sick and have to cancel Gallbaldder surgery so we skipped mill this year.
Baked reeses peanut butter cookies instead.
Baking sugar cookies on Xmas day.
I have lost a krogers gift card in apartment. Hope I find it by Christmas?????
Wrapping gifts after apartment cleaning today.
And today is totally the day of in my mind:
Despair:Your gifts wont't be liked or aren't good enough.
and
Delirium responds: Don't be like that it's the counting that thinks...or the thinking about counting...or something like that...LOOK snow!!!! :)

- Music:I yust go Nuts at Christmas Yogi Yorgesson
SO once again I really am unimpressed with Dayton's holiday Music station lite 99.9. The lack of variety sucks--I mean I know there are a finite number of Christmas songs BUT some of the fun ones they used to play they barely play AND even the ones they do play have had a large number of folks performing so they could at least switch the artist up. But no no no. Needless to say I am not using them for my music of the season when i want music of the season. If I want all X-mas I listen to my cds and cds from library. If I just want a Song a few songs an hour I listen to Hubers oldy station 101.1 they add in a better variey every hour at least 3-4 songs then back to oldies.
Plus on Christmas Eve from 8-11pm they are doing all silly Christmas songs. After Church that eve I plan to listen to this.
And I must give kudos to work they are playing better variety of X-mas music then in years past.
I am way DIYing like crazy thus I need two more frames for xmas gifts. Back to Dollar Tree by next monday.
And Jason is gone redo A deadpool cover his art style for me for Xmas or my birthday--might be my birthday because he may not be able to complete it by Xmas.
And now the bad news my dad needs to have gallbladder surgery and they are trying to get done by end of December because January first they lose their gm insurance and go on "private insurance"--I forget which company.

First of all I Woke up at 5am today and could not get back to sleep. But at least I got a jump on housecleaning and laundry before hitting library.
So I can DIY most of the day once home. (After I sweep floors and I will be doing laundry in between)
Gonna watch some peace on earth and goodwill toward men and some not so much while DIYING because my reserves of The Toy That Saved Christmas and Transformers 2 are both in...
(Yes I am watching Veggie Tales :P )
Speaking of the DIY dad requested a poster for for his garage for Xmas--just the basic idea I am free to run with it. Is this a commision.
Also DOing something artsy with one of my poems for Jason and Suzette. All ready did something artsy with another poem for Aimiee and Julie.
Supper tonight is gonna be Chicken breast marinated in garlic and butter from Dots, I just have to bake, rice, and some veggie. Asparagus? Brocoli I am open to votes. LOL
Currently reading a collection of stories by Caitlin R Kiernan. The stories are good and all though you cannot judge a book by the cover the author is rather hot.
And now heres a poem (excuse my nod to garrison keillor.)
"I'll have a better Christmas without you
I won't have to pretend I am happy but really be blue
I won't have to put up with your selfish self centered family
Who can't accept and just want to change me
Of course that was in someways Oh so true
Also of you
I'll feel better then all right
Every single Advent night
Cuz I'll have a B'b'better Christmas without you."
